A short, unconventional walking sim about a prisoner trying to see the stars one last time.Artist's Statement
When faced with the task of making a game about walking, I decided to make a game about crawling instead. The player drags themself forward slowly, painfully, and if they try to run, they come to a complete standstill. I wanted players to feel as weak as the character they were embodying: a person who was struggling with their last bit of strength to find respite after suffering for so long. The game is also in the first person to sell the feeling; it was an interesting challenge for me to create a game with no visible characters since I adore designing them, but it was a valuable experience nonetheless! It allowed me to focus on crafting the environment to build the atmosphere, and honing the text to convey the narrative— though my limitations were frustrating at times, I’m a better designer for it. I feel like my own protagonist, gazing at the hard-earned fruits of my labor, finally at peace; I hope if you play this game through to its end, you can share that feeling of calm with me.

A short text game about a childhood love that hides in the dark.Artist's Statement
When I made this game in the winter of 2024, I had been listening to a certain song on repeat. It was about a young girl who was in love with her best friend, and who would never tell her. Though not explicit in the song, to me, her fear of rejection was compounded by the fact that she was in love with another girl. The sorrow at the futility of her feelings and her own inability to be brave and act, and the feeling of having the innocence of a first love tainted by a world that won’t accept it, moved me deeply. The first time I listened to it, I cried, and the imagery, lyrics, and emotions kept swirling in my head until I finally got them out into words. The result was this game.
